Privacy Policy

Effective April 20, 2026

1. Who we are

The Service Pulse (“we”, “us”) operates software that helps home service businesses respond to missed calls, qualify leads, schedule appointments, and request customer reviews. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with our website at theservicepulse.io and the services provided through it (the “Service”).

Our Service has two groups of users:

  • Business customers — owners and staff of home service companies who use our dashboard to manage their operations.
  • End customers — individuals who call, text, or book appointments with a business that subscribes to our Service.

2. Information we collect

From business customers

  • Account information: name, email address, and authentication credentials managed through our identity provider.
  • Business details: company name, service area, business hours, services offered, and team members.
  • Integration data: access tokens and calendar events synchronized via Google Calendar (with your explicit consent); configuration for Twilio phone numbers assigned to your business.
  • Billing information, processed by our payment provider; we do not store full payment card numbers.

From end customers

  • Contact information provided to a subscribing business: name, phone number, email address (optional), and service address.
  • Call metadata (caller ID, time, duration) when you call a business number routed through our Service.
  • The content of SMS messages exchanged with a subscribing business through our Service, including the answers you provide during lead qualification.
  • Job and booking details: service requested, urgency, scheduled time, and job history.

Collected automatically

  • Standard web logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps) and cookies required for authentication and core functionality.

3. How we use information

  • To operate and deliver the Service — routing calls and SMS, syncing calendar events, scheduling appointments, sending booking confirmations and review requests.
  • To maintain accounts, authenticate users, and enforce multi-tenant data separation so one business cannot view another business’s data.
  • To troubleshoot, prevent fraud, and secure the Service.
  • To communicate with business customers about service changes, billing, and support.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use information collected from end customers to build marketing profiles, retarget advertising, or train machine-learning models.

4. SMS messaging

When a subscribing business misses a call, our Service sends an automated SMS reply to the caller’s number inviting them to continue the conversation by text. Your opt-in to receive these messages is established by your initial call to the business.

  • Message frequency varies based on the progression of your conversation with the business.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can request help by replying HELP.
  • We do not share phone numbers or SMS content with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS data is shared only with the subscribing business and with our telecommunications and infrastructure providers as strictly necessary to deliver messages.

5. Google user data

When a business customer connects Google Calendar, we request permission to read and write calendar events on that customer’s primary calendar. We use this access exclusively to keep job appointments and the connected Google Calendar in sync.

The Service Pulse’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes.
  • We do not permit humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative consent, it is necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in line with the policy.

You can revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions page or by disconnecting the integration inside The Service Pulse dashboard.

6. Service providers

We rely on a small number of vetted third-party providers to deliver the Service. Each receives only the data necessary to perform its function and is bound by a data-processing agreement.

  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Supabase — managed PostgreSQL database.
  • Clerk — authentication and session management.
  • Twilio — telephony and SMS delivery.
  • Google — Calendar synchronization and address autocomplete.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.

7. Data retention

We retain account and operational data for as long as a business customer’s account is active, and for a reasonable period after termination to support legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. End-customer data is retained by the subscribing business according to its own retention preferences. Call and SMS records older than 24 months may be purged unless required by law to retain longer.

8. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, scoped access controls, and multi-tenant database isolation. No method of electronic transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users and regulators of any material breach as required by applicable law.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@theservicepulse.io. If you are an end customer of a subscribing business, please direct requests to that business; we will support them in fulfilling your request.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify active business customers by email or in-product notice.

12. Contact

Questions, requests, or concerns can be sent to privacy@theservicepulse.io.
